12 Month Fixed-Term-Contract
The services of a Deputy CFO are required to support the Deputy CFO in the administrative, financial, and risk management operations.
Responsibilities
- Managing daily operations, reporting accurate financial results,
- Implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of the organisation
- Provide efficient functioning and delivery of all financial aspects of the project
- Manage daily functions to ensure the financial infrastructure is stable and supports the future demands of the organisation.
- Analyse, interpret and communicate financial and performance data, provide financial advice, and influence decision making where appropriate to achieve budget, targets, and strategies.
- Prepare, and when necessary, present, various reports including monthly management packs and current reports adhoc reports to meet reporting requirements and adhoc requests.
- Responsible for collating and consolidating monthly top suppliers each month with all relevant BBBEE information.
- Manage staff (in line with policies, procedures, and standards)
- Develop relationships with relevant financial institutions, internal, external and funder auditors and stakeholders to ensure good working relations.
- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile and support in identifying and reporting financial risks to the DCFO to ensure implementation of corrective measures and/or risks identified are mitigated to an acceptable residual risk. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
Requirements:
- CA or B.Compt / BCom Hons with articles
- Knowledge of donor grants and the nonprofit sector
- At least 8 to 10 years experience in a financial management role
- Solid staff managerial and supervisory experience working in cross functional teams
- Solid knowledge of financial accounting policies and procedures
- Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Enterprise resource planning /systems experience

Salary:
R70 000,00 - R80 000,00 per month
