Finance Controller | Finance Lead CBD, Cape Town

Listed and reputable Property Fund
concern is in search of a dynamic Finance individual to provide a finance and operational support role to their team dynamic team of Professionals and Stakeholders.


R40 000 R60 000 Per Month Highly Negotiable and Dependent on Qualification and Years of relevant experience

You possess exceptional interpersonal and technical accounting skills.


Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

Accounting record maintenance producing a monthly TB and importing it to QuickConsol system

  • Managing and compiling this information with operating entities being outsourced
  • Holding companies will need to be prepared Bank recons and journals, maintaining schedules quarterly
  • Maintaining supporting schedules such as debt schedules, asset schedules, etc.

Assisting with maintaining baking relationships

  • Managing banking queries
  • Managing debt obligations such as testing and reverting on covenants, draw down requests, ad hoc requests
  • Preparing information for new debt requests

Compliance

  • Assisting with stock exchange compliance, information requests, sponsor requests, etc.
  • KYC for various stakeholders across the group
  • Managing relationships with sponsors, legal, brokers, etc.

Planning

  • Maintaining team calendar, driving deadlines
  • Assisting with budgeting process at a group level

Payments and cash/treasury management

  • Review and second release of business unit payments
  • Ensuring the company can meets its obligations and maximise return on excess cash balances
  • Managing cash resources and ensuring all payment/debt payments are made and paid on time
  • Ensuring that the group maximises its return on working capital
  • Managing and rationalising banking accounts and payment processes

All SARS compliance

  • VAT returns
  • Provisional Tax returns
  • Yearend changes on SARS
  • Public officer changes on SARS
  • Ensuring entities have tax clearance certification
  • Income tax calculations and lodging of tax returns
  • Assisting with group budgets and preparation of reporting
  • Assisting with audits of each company, ensure deadlines met at company level, information is provided
  • Any other request that would fit within the normal financial management of the entity

Qualification, Skills and Experience required:

CIMA or BSC or AGA or Finance related Degree:

  • Completed articles with experience gained within the property fund / asset management / financial services arena being advantageous

5+ Years relevant financial accounting experience gained ideally within the property sector:

  • Proficiency on
    MS Excel is essential
  • Information gathering and problem analysis skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
