We are looking for someone who is committed to processing the payroll and ensuring all processing tasks are carried out in an efficient and accurate manner.

Working with integrity and with unity within the team to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time, key to your success in this role is to follow internal processes to conduct payroll activities while translating the company vision and values into day-to-day activities.


You will be required to demonstrate personal commitment to stakeholders by fulfilling responsibilities, following agreements, involving others and removing obstacles to shared accomplishments; implementing corrective measures, improvements in the implementation of work processes, systems, procedures to improve payroll compliance and control.

You should be highly organised and set a standard of excellence in everything that you do.


What you'll be doing

  • Taking responsibility for accurate payroll input and effectively resolving queries from employees
  • Ensuring compliance to payroll deadlines
  • Working collaboratively with the payroll team to achieve team goals
  • Ensuring the effective distribution of payslips
  • Highlighting missing payroll data to Operations
  • Assisting with the verification of banking details
  • Regularly reviewing the accuracy of Masterfile data on the payroll system
  • Assisting the Payroll Processing Manager with ad hoc tasks as required
  • Behaving responsibly and efficiently in use of resources and services
  • 35 years of previous Sage 300 Payroll experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of SAGE 300
  • Ability to understand and provide guidance on employee tax
  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Tax yearend (balancing totals, E-Filing system, and IRP5s)
  • Preparation for bonuses and salary reviews (annually)
  • First point of contact for payroll queries
  • Provide guidance on salary structure

What you'll need

  • Matric
  • Computer literacy with advanced MS Excel skills
  • 3 year SAGE300 experience
    (not negotiable):

  • Experience with a payroll headcount from 2000 to 5000 employees:

Advanced excel experience (VLookup etc):

  • 3 years' payroll sage 300 experience
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication
s skills - both verbal and written (English Required)

  • Clear credit, criminal and disciplinary records

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO START WORK IMMEDIATELY

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
R22, R25,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Parktown, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • High School (matric) (preferred)

Experience:


  • Sage300 payroll: 3 years (required)
  • Weekly payroll on Sage300: 3 years (required)
