JOB SPECIFICATION:
COMPLIANCE OFFICER

JOB SUMMARY:

The Compliance Officer is responsible for assisting the Compliance Manager in ensuring the implementation and maintenance of an effective and well-monitored regulatory compliance framework within Banxso with a specific on FAIS (CAT1, CAT2) and FICA compliance.

This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and reputation of Banxso by preventing and detecting potential violations and unethical behaviour.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Risk Assessment: development of compliance risk assessment and implementation of compliance risk management plans.

Regulatory Compliance:conducting compliance monitoring by compiling of internal and external compliance reports, analysing, and interpreting of FAIS and FICA regulation and legislation engaging and presenting to the relevant business areas on compliance feedback, corrective action and providing guidance on regulatory developments with Adhoc involvement in regulatory projects to pro-actively provide compliance guidance to business.

Policy and Procedure Development:developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance policies procedures and maintenance of the compliance framework processes and implementation of remedial action.

Training and Education:provide compliance training internally, review and identify regulatory training material by risk scoping of applicable laws and regulations applicable to Banxso ensuring that training requirements are met.

Collaboration:Collaborate with internal teams to assist with the promotion of a culture of compliance and awareness within Banxso.

Reporting and Documentation:Working knowledge of the legislation within the financial industry (regulated trading).

Communications with regulators:Ability to interact with regulatory authorities (FSCA, FIC, IR).

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in compliance
FSCA recognized qualification (LLB, Bcom Law, BA Law)
Compliance experience in relation to online trading and/or financial investments will be advantageous.
Ability to work well under pressure, independently and as part of a team
