Description
Experience & education required:
- Diploma or Degree in Construction OR Engineering or NHD Technical Diploma
- Certification by PMI or similar accredited project management institute an advantage
- Extensive technical and leadership and training and project related seminars
- 68 years of progressive planning experience gained on large multi story building structures
- Experience with planning & scheduling functions on large building structures is essential
- Experience in progress measurements and progress reporting for Engineering Procurement and construction
Daily on site duties:
- Comply with legal requirements for construction contracts.
- Gather information from Contract Data, Specifications, Drawings and Bill of Quantities.
- Calculate quantities from drawings and compare with Bill of Quantities.
- Identify main work groupings and compile contractual programme.
- Programming using CCS Software is essential
- Review programme links, durations, production rates and resources.
- Link programme with Bill of Quantities (CCS Software)
- Print out programmes, resource histograms, cash flows and distribute to relevant stakeholders.
- Liaise with managers and engineers to discuss the sequence of construction, progress of the project and address risks and opportunities.
- Submit contract programmes and narratives to the Contracts Manager for Client approval (Weekly / Monthly / as required)
- Submit revised contract programmes and narratives to the Contracts Manager for Client approval on monthly basis or as required.
- Present information (Monthly update reports) for internal and external meetings.
- Liaise with site team to prepare technical method statements for highrisk and general construction activities.
- Submit Request for Information (RFIs) to the Client should there be insufficient, unclear or no information regarding the project.
- Change Management
- Recording Site Instructions, changes between previous and revised drawings, whereby Management, Site Engineers and QS is informed, thereafter determining the impact (if any) on the programme.
- Assisting the Contract Manager with contractual claims and other contractual documentation.
- Identify cost saving and cash conservation opportunities.
- Responsible for the reporting of daily activities (Daily Diaries).
