Search Engine Optimisation(SEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation(GEO). The role's main focus is to increase non-branded and branded searches across search engines and AI Platforms, maximising our brands, products and services visibility across the web
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organic Traffic & Sales:
Maximise high-intent traffic that translates into measurable sales growth, ensuring SEO is a primary contributor to the bottom line for both physical stores and online stores. - Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO):
Maximize the online visibility of our brands, products, and services across search engines and AI Platforms. This includes driving both branded and non-branded organic searches. - Technical SEO & Site Health:
Ensure the website and all web channels are technically sound, crawlable, and provide an excellent, fast User Experience (UX) to maximise performance. (Inferred from Functional Knowledge: HTML, CSS, CMS, Google Analytics) - Content Strategy & Authority:
Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that builds topic authority, increases keyword rankings, and aligns with the customer journey. (Inferred from Experience: SEO & Copywriting, Functional Knowledge: SEMrush, Moz) - Reporting & Stakeholder Collaboration:
Provide clear, actionable performance analysis and insights to key stakeholders, ensuring the SEO strategy is fully integrated with digital marketing and e-commerce operations. (Inferred from Key Receivers of Work & Functional Knowledge: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) - Stakeholder Management:
Build, maintain and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders and role players both internally and externally
JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS
- Degree/ Diploma (e.g. Computer Science, Web or Digital Marketing certificate/diploma/degree)
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in a dedicated Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) role, focusing on increasing organic traffic and sales for e-commerce and physical stores.
- Hands-on experience with Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and strategies for maximizing visibility on AI-powered search results and generative platforms.
- Expertise in Technical SEO, including working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Content Management Systems (CMS) like Shopify, Wordpress, or Magento.
- Demonstrated proficiency with key SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and platforms like SEMrush, Moz, ahrefs, or Similarweb.
- Experience in developing and executing a comprehensive Content Strategy, including SEO-focused copywriting, to build topic authority and improve keyword rankings.
- Experience performing technical audits, monitoring Core Web Vitals (CWV), and managing crawl efficiency and indexability to ensure excellent site health and performance.
- Experience in providing actionable performance reports and collaborating with various stakeholders (Web, Digital Marketing, Creative, e-commerce) to integrate SEO strategy.
