Minimum requirements for the role:


  • Must have a tertiary qualification in Logistics, Procurement, Operations and/or Supply Chain.
  • Minimum 3 years hands on experience in a logistics, distribution, production or warehousing environment within the agricultural chemical industry will be required
  • Must have proven track record for excellent customer service.
  • Possess general knowledge of the agricultural chemical industry and a knowledge of the products that are supplied within the agricultural chemical industry and their uses.
  • Computer knowledge of MS Office (Excel/Word) and MS Outlook with a working knowledge of Syspro.
  • Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
  • Good communication and writing skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, are important
  • Must have a valid drivers license with reliable transport
  • Responding to stock requests received from Crop Advisors.
  • Executing efficient and accurate ordering and expediting orders.
  • Expediting stock requests and communicating requests with Crop Advisors and depot personnel.
  • Monitoring stock levels at Crop Advisor warehouses.
  • Arranging transport for stock requests and ensuring that Crop Advisors obtain the stock on time and in full.
  • Following up on GRNs from Crop Advisors with direct deliveries and stock transfers (GTIs).
  • Participating in stock takes.
  • Prioritising tasks and managing time correctly in order to complete daily tasks timeously.
  • Adhering to all legislation pertaining to the transport of dangers and/or hazardous chemicals.
  • Performing a relief support function for other members of the department.
  • Filing and scanning of paperwork.
  • Managing stock returns from depots.
  • Adhering to all internal control policies of the Company.
  • Upholding and working according to all internal and external safety guidelines.
  • Ensuring conformance to relevant SHEQ rules and regulations as per company policy.
  • Undertaking any legal ad hoc tasks for which the incumbent is competent as directed by the Warehouse Team Leader or Management.
  • Investigating customer complaints so as to ensure customer centricity and advising process to be followed.
  • Reporting customer complaints to the relevant Management staff member and ensuring relevant actions are taken.
  • Reporting outcome of investigation and resolution of problem to the relevant Management staff member.
  • Ensuring continued communication throughout the process with the customer up to resolution of the problem, keeping the Warehouse Team Leader updated.
