Our client is looking for a Payroll Administrator to offers administrative support to the HRBP (HR Business Partner).

The incumbent plays a key role in leading the full cycle of payroll, this entails vetting submissions, accurately capturing new starters, collating overtime sheets, correctly calculating taxation, actioning terminations in line with legislation, managing payroll, anomalies, initiating employee benefits and financial reporting.

The payroll administrator requires sound understand of BCEA, LRA and the internal leave policy in relation to payroll processing. The Payroll Administrator along with the HRBP is the custodian of all HR policies. Furthermore, the Payroll Administrator is responsible for onboarding administration, maintaining accurate physical, electronic employee records, and archiving outdated records.

Moreover, the Payroll Administrator is tasked with compiling audit samples, EMP501 submissions for employee income tax, submitting biannual reviews to SARS and managing Department of Labour queries.


Responsibilities:


  • Effetively and accurately administrate payroll montly.
  • Preform regular maintance of employee profiles on the SAGE 300 portal by updating title changes, banks details and employee biographical information.
  • Link new starters on the SAGE 300 portal.
  • Routinely vett departmental submissions for overtime, standby, travel expenses, acknowledgement of debt, petty cash and credit card deductions.
  • Collate and capture data submitted for overtime, standby, travel expenses, acknowledgement of debt, petty casha and credit card deductions.
  • Synthesize data on tokens of apprciation, annual bonuses, preformance bonuses and post adjustment increases.
  • Draft all UI19s for employees taking up maternity leave.
  • Capture payroll adjusstment for staff on maternity leave.
  • Communicate to all staff regarding montly payroll closures.
  • Input and initiate tokens of apprciation, annual bonuses, preformance bonuses and post adjustment increases.

Divisional Head:
Finance and work to resolution

  • Audit leave approvals of supervisors and managers against leave approval sheet for all departments, reconcile yeartodate leave balances with those reflected on SAGE 300.
  • Manage leave balance adjustment based on employee tenure, ensuring 15, 20 and 25 leave days are allocated to employees according to policy.
  • Complie andpublish montly leave listing, highlighting leave at risk of forfeiture, sharing reports with supervisors, manager and divisional heads.
  • Capture RA company contribution on to SAGE 300 for all permanently appointed employees, paying careful attention to promotions, demtions and salary increase.
  • Communicate changes to all staff regarding changes in medical aid schemes and pricing
  • Capture company and employee contribution to medical aid on to SAGE 300.
  • Reconcile billing for RA and medical aid for all permanently employed staff.

Qualifications:


  • Degree/ Diploma in Human Resource Management / Finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as Payroll Administrator.
  • Minimum of 23 years SAGE 300.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Intermediate/Advanced.
  • Valid South Africa ID.
