As our client embark on a transformative journey to centralize payroll operations across several African countries, They are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team.

Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processes while supporting the implementation of our centralized payroll project over the next six months.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the Payroll Lead to process payroll for employees in South Africa and other African countries, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Facilitate the enrolment of new employees and maintain uptodate payroll records.
  • Accurately calculate and process employee benefits, deductions, and other payrollrelated transactions.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Address employee payroll queries promptly and professionally.
  • Stay abreast of changes in payroll legislation and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Work closely with the HR department to maintain accurate employee data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Liaise with In-Country HR Managers, Financial Controllers, and Service Providers to communicate relevant information to employees.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits related to payroll processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security of payroll information.

Skills:


  • Indepth knowledge of South African payroll legislation, tax laws, and other relevant regulations.
  • Familiarity with payroll administration and tax requirements in other African countries.
  • Experience with payroll systems like PaySpace, or similar systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Excellent command of English both written and verbal
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certification or accreditation in payroll administration (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional
  • CPP) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a multinational company with exposure to African payroll regulations.
