Description

A leading hotel group has a vacancy for a Property Sales and Marketing Associate:

  • Compile, coordinate and implement the hotel's Sales and Marketing Plan with the GM
  • Ensure all key accounts of the Hotel are serviced and supporting the Hotel in room nights and conferencing to meet budgets.
  • Ensure that the Hotel is finding new clients and getting support from new clients to grow revenues to meet budgets
  • Coordination of sales calls with the General Manager for the acquisition of new and retention of existing clients
  • Work with all Company sales execs and management to ensure the Hotel is meeting targets from all segments.
  • Work closely with the Hotel G&C /Banqueting department to convert bookings from enquiries, using quick and efficient quoting, and sales follow through as appropriate.
  • Use Salesforce CRM system effectively to help with lead management, enquiry follow ups, client tracking, capturing of details and accurate opportunity tracking.
  • Create Hotel awareness and publicity, through local promotions to stimulate Property brand awareness.
  • Statistical reports and forecasting analysis to ensure the correct clients are targeted.
  • Coordinate the compilation and ongoing maintenance of the hotel's GUEST history databases across all market segments in order for monthly marketing actions to be implemented by the Property and Premier group marketing.
  • Conducting Daily Marketing Activities that Achieve Department Goals
  • Assists in coordination of rooms, food and beverage, spa, and golf promotions, if applicable.
  • Develops leisure offers with the GM in the marketing plan that addresses the distribution of rate offers, packages and programs designed to build occupancy.
  • Assist GM and group marketing with maintenance, updates, and info on the hotel in Company website.
  • Assists with offers and information for any possible publications and inserts about brand loyalty reward mailings for group marketing to action.
  • Ensures information and stocks of Property brochure and property collateral ematerials are always updated and available.
  • Uses and interprets all reporting necessary for sound sales and marketing recommendations, including but not limited to source market reports, past guest lists (utilising leisure rate codes) and tracking.
  • Along with the GM, manages on property sales and marketing budget deployment throughout the year.
  • Ensures consistency in individual property's voice on all guest touchpoints and marketing communications, not only following correct Company graphic standards, but also on behalf of the individual Property.
  • Use knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to maximise Revenue for Property
  • Ensures property is represented on all quality local internet sites that have the potential of providing business liaising with Premier head office.
  • Works closely with respective local Convention Bureaus, and Chambers of Tourism/commerce.
  • Supports Company head office marketing with photo shoots, developing shot lists while keeping goals of Property and brand image in mind.
  • Provides all sales channels with creative and unique tools to assist in the sales and marketing of the property.
  • Acts as liaison between Group marketing and the Property in rolling out Company brand campaigns and programmes, and making sure that the Property is taking advantage of all opportunities provided through the Company.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist GM to achieve Hotel budgeted revenues and Brand awareness for the property.
  • The attendance of daily yield meetings if necessary
  • The scheduling and coordination of monthly marketing meetings
  • Compile monthly measurability statistics on Sales and Marketing results.
  • Coordinate and complete follow up actions on Sales Calls
  • Coordinate and complete follow up actions on Property Inspections
  • Attending annual Sales and Marketing training courses
  • Compilation, coordination and implementation of ad hoc sales and marketing strategies over and above the Property annual Sales and Marketing Plan should the need Ensure that all actions included in the Property Sales and Marketing Plan take place on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis
  • Daily profiling of GUEST arrival trends for sales follow up and targeting, by working smartly with the Front office.

Critical skills:

  • Computer Literacy
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Language speak/write in English (professional)
  • Accuracy in data capturing
  • Excellent Presentation Skills

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant diploma and minimum 5 years' experience in Hotel Sales
  • Previous experience with Corporate Companies, TMC's, PCO's, Associations in the
    Pretoria node for G&C and Individual Corporate agreement sign up
  • At least 3 contactable references
  • Proof of reaching targets in previous role
