TASKS AND DUTIES

* Assign duties to the team of 10 during the day, and to the team of 20 during night.

* Ensuring that the team perform and adhere to the safety.

* Ensure that the right tool and material are on stores before the start of each shift.

* Ensure that the tasks and activities are completed before dead line.

* Authorize and recommend in hiring, disciplining and interviewing of potential         employees.

* Responsible for store maintenance, fault finding and repairing of the sites.

* Train new employees/members L.E.D retro fitments.

* Communicate and organize with store managers the daily teams working schedules.

* Ensuring an effective planning and execution of retrofitting and maintenance during store’s operating hours.

* Encouraging, motivating and giving a word of appreciation to the teams after completion of a store.

* Read and interpretation of technical diagrams.

*Assemble, Install, test and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

* Inspect and diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of fault and correct the problem.

* Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustments or repairs and to ensure compliance with codes.

* Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.

* Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.

* Repair or replace wiring, equipment, fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

* Ensuring that work is in accordance with the relevant codes and standards.

* Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specification.

* Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimation for material and services.

* Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduits and moving and lifting heavy objects.

* Place conduits inside designated partition, wall and other concealed areas and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduits to complete circuits between boxes.

Completed my grade 12 in 2005, also completed N2 in heavy current. 
I did my electrical apprenticeship at the Transnet School of Engineering were I successfully obtained my Red seal certificate to become a qualified electrician.
