Christopher Braithwaite

From January 2017 to present, I've gained diverse work experience, starting as an Event Manager and Ticket Salesman at Spiced Events in Johannesburg. Later, I bartended at Africa Events in 2018. In 2019, I had an unpaid internship at Beswick and Fellows, followed by a part-time Au-pair role at My Home PA. Shifting to the hospitality industry, I bartended and waited tables at Bohemia Restaurant and Balboa Balcony Bar from September 2019 to August 2021. In August 2021, I worked as a bartender/waiter at Fool's Gold Social Bar. My career took a turn in June 2022 when I became an Export Controller/Admin Controller at C.Steinweg Bridge in Johannesburg. Currently, I'm simultaneously working as a Live Sound Engineer at Hot Wax Audio Visual Productions and a Production/Multimedia Assistant at StreamIN Studio since February 2023. This journey has helped me develop versatile skills in various roles.

As a marketing Honors graduate with a strong foundation in market research, digital marketing, branding, and communication strategies, I have a solid skill set that is highly relevant to an A&R (Artist and Repertoire) position in the music industry. My expertise lies in analyzing market trends, identifying customer needs, and developing targeted marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement. I excel in utilizing social media platforms and digital marketing tools to execute online campaigns effectively. Furthermore, I'm actively pursuing sound engineering studies, enhancing my proficiency in audio recording, mixing, mastering, and sound editing using industry-standard software and equipment. This combination of marketing acumen and audio production skills makes me well-suited for roles in A&R, where understanding and promoting musical talent is crucial.
