About Zeldean Ellis:

A professional in project management and project administration for 15 years with significant experience in local government, I have been the CEO of Masikhule Consultants responsible for the Project Management and Networking for 7 years. My experience in project management and expertise in local government is based on employment and participation with MIG Projects and work experience within the Civil Engineering and Housing environment. 

During my employment at Toro Ya Africa from February 2015 to June 2017 I was initially appointed as an External Liaison Officer responsible for claims but was soon thereafter promoted to Office Manager. The overseeing and the entire running of the offices as well as the managing of the claims department and procurement department was part of my many and vast responsibilities.

I am familiar with all the systems of the Department of Human Settlements as well as the processes from beneficiary administration until the unit is handed over to the beneficiary and the property transferred.  It is an honor to say amongst many challenges I had to create a filing and administration system for Toro Ya Africa as well as the Project Management Office of Ekurhuleni Municipality Housing Department, as it was identified as a severe weakness. 

Experience

My work experience is complemented by a Diploma in Project Management and Events Co-ordination. My passion for education and skills transfer is supported by well-honed analytical skills and a proficiency in the practical implementation of financial and development principles and the application of alternative approaches to project management.

My experience covers 19 years in Local Government (Infrastructure Department) involved with Municipal Infrastructure Grant (MIG) for the last few years of service at Matlosana City Council.   Good relations with personnel of the North West Department Human Settlement and familiar with all their processes.

Based within the Project Management Unit of the Housing Department in Ekurhuleni I was part of creating the project management system responsible for the implementing and monitoring of all projects. I am currently at a peak in my career and would welcome a challenge of any kind. Being a team player and quick learner, I adjust quickly in any environment and get along with people very well.  Working under pressure is one of my fortes, and it would only be advantageous for me to form part of your dynamic team.
