• Manage the Site Health and Safety Management System.
• Developing, implementing, and improving the Health & Safety plans, programmes, and procedures at the workplace.
• Carry out Risk assessments in conjunction with specific company process and chemical area owners.
• Report Loss Time incidents
• Foster and advocate Safety First ethos at the workplace.
• Responsible for H&S training - Safety, Rep., First Aid, Fire Fighting Manual Handling and other as appropriate.
• Arrange and execute emergency evacuation drills
•  Assume responsibility of all company waste streams.
• Spot checks for proper chemical management including periodic laboratory audits and Health & Safety system maintenance.

• Investigate all related OHS incidents/accidents - report to COIDA
• Ensure all regulations are as per the Department of Employment & Labour - adhering to OHS Act, EE Act, BEAC etc.
• Develop, Implement relevant documentation for the OHS File.
• Maintenance/archiving of H & S records/documentation.
