About Wilna Koeleman:

I am currently working as a Safety Officer and I gained leadership skills through managing and coordinating PPE orders and compiling Contractors Pack and Safety files for BHP and Construction sites. I have to liaise on a daily basis with Management, Clients and employees.  From this, I had to make decisions continuously and I believe that I have acquired the skill to lead people. One of the requirements as a Safety Officer is to communicate with all employees, Mining and Construction, Sub Contractors and Suppliers.  I believe I have obtained the skills to interact successfully with people of all levels and cultures. A normal day consists of various disruptions and matters that require urgent attention.  I have learned to prioritise and to work on more than one task at once.  I have further learned to re-organise tasks and I am very adaptable. There have been various difficult tasks and problems in a work environment and I have learnt to be committed to the task and not to give in easily.  I am also very committed to my Company. I have proven to be able to work without supervision and to work independently.  I believe that I have an excellent set of values that include integrity, honesty, punctuality and reliability.  I am very stable in both my work and private life.  I have good service with the company that I work for and I do not get emotional when the going gets tough.
