The following is my Job responsibilities

•Installing and configuring computer hardware and operating systems. • Performing root cause analysis and general troubleshooting.• Configuring hardware, devices, and software to set up workstations for employees. • Monitoring systems in operation and input commands to troubleshoot areas. • Monitoring and maintaining of all Hardware peripherals in data centre. • Replacing of hardware components such as memory, processors, motherboard, power supply’s, fans, physical disks various of components for servers. • Maintaining servers and systems to keep them fully operational during peak periods. • Use strict procedures to repair hardware or software related faults. • Work according to diagrams and written instructions. (Server Procedures and Guides) • Run Symantec scheduled back-ups Monthly, Quarterly report daily on backup status. • Physical check the Server room environment (LED check on all server) and temperature check. • Daily report on all system defects picked up on the checklist. • Document faults and report every fault as it occurs. • Check the following logs ✓ Hardware logs ✓ Message logs ✓ Display recent logs ✓ Environment logs ✓ Hardware Fault logs ✓ Syslog’s event logs

• Ensure all issues are properly logged • Prioritize and manage all open issues at one time • Prepare accurate and timely reports • Ensure continued improvement of standard operational procedures within the environment • Provide management oversight to the support teams taking responsibility for all actions taken within the operational support environment • Provide timely management reporting related to the systems status, including aspects such as faults raised, resolution timeframes, outstanding issues, time to react, time to repair, etc • Ensure failover procedures whether at software, server, or system (Primary to DR) are affected in accordance with the agreed service levels • Report to the Project Manager and execute on instruction from same • Spare parts management and logistic handling • Asset management on equipment • Clear and affective communication

Bcom degree in Information Technology and Management , I am left with 2 modules completing next year June.
