I originally studied civil engineering and have a BSc Civil Eng Deg and Honours in Traffic and Transportation. Worked as civil engineer for 9 years (Pr Eng) before becoming a project manager with a residential development company.

I have been involved in the development/construction if over 1000 serviced stands, 2000 refurbished units (offices to residential), 5000 new residential units, 15000 m2 of industrial warehouses and a few thousand m2 of office and retail. Also been involved in small waterparks and a high-altitude training centre in Lesotho.

My involvement has been from conceptual stage, feasibility through to construction and handover. Experience includes feasibility studies, business plans and finance applications as well as appointments and contract documentation including Health and Safety.

My strength lies in my experience in a wide range of projects with many different conditions and good relationships with professionals, contractors, suppliers and local councils.

I work on contract (monthly) or hourly but prefer to be appointed on a project from start to finish.

I am married with 2 boys and enjoy the outdoors, cycling and hiking and keep myself in shape by going to gym and spinning.

Experience

After my studies and 2-year National Service I worked as a civil engineer for 9 years as a structural and road engineer and also traffic and transportation.

Then joined Group Five as a project manager in their residential development division.

After Group Five I worked for Landev who developed townships for low-cost housing and also did upmarket residential developments.

After Landev, I joined NewHco who developed townships and serviced stands for low-cost housing.

We then formed a subsidiary company called Inframax to develop middle to high income housing developments. I was appointed regional director (Gauteng) in my last few years at Inframax.

I then joined the Qumo Group of companies who set a Joint Venture company with Zenprop called Zen-Q Developments where we developed mostly middle to upper residential developments but also a few office developments.

We then set up a project management company called Exact Gauteng (myself and a partner) to manage projects for various developers.

I then went on my own in 2014 and have been offering my services to various developers as development manager, project manager and principal agent. I have also done many feasibility studies and business plans for developers and have managed a liquidated estate as well as a rental portfolio.
