I am currently employed as a technical specialist at Telkom SA. I provide technical support and consultation to Sales to achieve revenue targets for customer specific solutions in Global, Corporate and Business marketplace. My focus is on design and project management of solutions for high complexity and high-profile projects including RFP’s. My responsibilities include pioneering new technology and processes, leading cross-functional technical teams, researching best practices and gaining market insight and strategize to propose best fit solutions for customer specific requirements. Customer specific requirements include non-tariffed services that require service level agreements (SLA) or special design criteria on implementation. The role requires upfront consultation and analysis with customer facing teams on service requirements. Requesting, tracking and liaising with vendors as required to provide input on solution design elements. I consolidate solution design elements into a design overview document for total solution design pricing, including timelines, risks and dependencies. I perform project management functions to develop and track progress of projects. I work in close collaboration with technical, commercial and finance teams. I have been doing customer specific solutions as part of the specific design project management team for the las 14 years. Prior to this I was an operational specialist as part of the technical product development team for 2 years.
