Experience

  • Perform administration and batch processing tasks on DC systems.
  • Provides support to all DC departments (KZN, Eastern Cape, Lowveld, Cape Town, Jhb).
  • Ensure all scheduled jobs are completed successfully and timeously.
  • Perform routine Server housekeeping including system saves, file reorganizations, file purges, history log deletions and any other ad-hoc tasks that need to be completed.
  • Records detailed reports of all problems in the Incident Log System.
  • Perform End of Period operations as per the predefined after hour process.
  • Controls User Access to the System.
  • Ensures Daily Backups are successful and ensure Security of Backup media.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all 1st/2nd line problems.
  • Manage 2nd line support call escalation to resolution.
  • Ensure server/ tasks configuration and operational workflows adhere to group policy and audit standards.
  • Provide continuous weekly feedback to Management.
  • Run SQL scripts to perform deletions on AS400, use SQL for updates.
  • Run scripts daily.
  • Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager.
  • Perform duties according to shift schedules which will include work on the weekends, and daily work outside of normal business hours.
  • Manage junior staff on my shift. 
  • Training on SAP S4/HANA – EWM S/D, Master Data Modules
  • Attended SAP EWM100_19 course.
  • Supporting SAP S4/HANA Order to Cash, Procurement, Retail (Pricing)
  • User Acceptance Testing for EThekwini users.
  • Team leader for Production Applications
  • Production Support for all applications
  • Worked on Projects – (analysis for Parks and Recreation, Ombuds) 
  • Created workflow and business requirements for Parks department.
  • Liaison between the business and Development team 
  • Support for BPM
  • Testing applications before Production with different scenarios
  • Conduct support queries on production for the following applications:

Development Application, Building Inspectors, City Fleet, DOI, Enforcement, Parks, Correspondence, Land Invasion, Ombuds, Health, Land Use Management, Town Planners, Land Transactions, Public Liabilities , E- Services departments in EThekwini.

  • Conducted UAT for Poster, health, Contravention, Correspondence, Parks, Land Invasion, Ombuds, Land use management and E-Services
  • Training the users on all applications
  • Conduct training analysis for business.
  • Debugging & investigating problems that occur on production before it goes to the development team.
  • Working with Tibco Iprocess workspace & iprocess administrator
  • Giving access to users for different departments using databases & iprocess.
  • Supporting AMX & GI processes
  • Meet deadlines according to project plans.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing.
  • Compile training manuals.
  • Conduct user training.
  • Improve and maintain the systems and operational processes. 
  • Provide onsite support after production implementation and thereafter when required.
  • Monitor support mailbox for incidents. 
  • Accurately log and prioritize incidents on the helpdesk system. 
  • Perform necessary tasks to resolve incidents.
  • Conduct site visits if unable to resolve remotely.
  • Provide continuous communication to the customer and PM’s:
    • Acknowledgement on receipt of incident.
    • Provide periodic updates on progress.
  • Ensure that all incidents are resolved within the defined SLA’s.
  • Escalate unresolved calls and ensure these are logged on the Issues Register.
  • Managed Parks and Recreation project.
  • Fill out change requests to eThekwini Municipality 
  • Problem solving incidents on Production environment.
  • Configuring users on SQL databases, manipulate data for UAT’s and Demo’s
  • Run scripts
