    Purpose:

    As a Manager Facilities Maintenance and Services your primary responsibility is to meet the Company's objectives by ensuring the effective functioning of the Facilities Maintenance and Services Department. This role plays a crucial part in providing plant availability and plant Infrastructure sustainability to facilitate the production of vehicles at a high-quality standard and in a cost-effective manner.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Develop and update maintenance SOW for Facilities maintenance and services.
  • Coordinate with teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs.
  • Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors, providing guidance.
  • Stay updated on technology advancements and implement improvements.
  • Enforce safety protocols during maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Communicate effectively with departments to align on maintenance priorities.
  • Collaborate with procurement on service contracts management.
  • Effectively manage and allocate budgets for maintenance/services and projects.
  • Utilize project management skills for end-to-end execution of technical projects.
  • Identify and address risks in facilities infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with and support various departments for seamless integration of facilities maintenance and services.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum NQF level 6 in Engineering or Construction/General Maintenance.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in plant maintenance.
  • Management experience is a must.
  • Project Management qualification is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of NEC contract is essential.
  • Knowledge of Facilities and Air conditioners maintenance is essential.
  • Working knowledge of the OHS Act no.85 of 1993 and Regulations.
