Tom Tleane

I am an admitted attorney with over 19 years experience in litigation,  legal drafting, research, regulatory as well as governance matters.

I have been in active legal practice for seven years from 2003 until 2010. In 2011,  I then joined the Film and Publications Board as a legal manager until October 2013.

I briefly joined the Department of Public Enterprises as a Deputy Director: Corporate Governance in November 2013.

 I then joined the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa in December 2013 as: Manager Litigation, the position which was revised to: Specialist Litigation for four years, and later moved internally to a position of Corporate Secretary advising the Board on regulatory, compliance and litigation matters.

In August 2021, I joined Akani Retirement Fund Administrators as: Legal and Corporate Secretariat advising the fund on governance and compliance, includin regulator matters unti November 2022.

I obtained a B. Proc Degree from the University of Limpopo and a certification in Project Management from Nelson Mandela University, as well as certification in litigation from University of Pretoria.
