I am a professional nurse with Diploma in General nursing, community psychiatry and Midwifery. I have practised in public fascilities in medical wards for 2 years after qualification. I then joined a NGO to work in a community based sexual and reproductive health care centre from 2008 to 2013 then worked as a disease management nurse for a medical aid administrating company for one year. I then went back to the SRH from 2014 to June 2016,then joined clinical research in Sep 2016 to Oct 2021. When I was a disease management nurse my duties included HIV management for members on Wellness programme. I have gained experience and knowledge of HIV treatment. As a centre manager in the sexual and reproductive healthcare centre I was responsible for the day to day running of the centre, managing a professional nurse, administrator and a general assistant. I was also responsible for stock control ensuring that we meet targets for the business sustainability. As a research nurse my duries included participants recruitment, screening, enrollment and follow-up. Performed clinical duties such as phlebotomy and sample collection and shipping and stock control, also assisted in development and review of SOPs. The last 2 years I was then entrusted with supervision, training and managing leave and perfomance appraisal for nursing staff. I am self driven and work well independently and as a team. I have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with people. If I can have one person feel better about themselves and their situation everyday I would know that I am my way to fulfilling my duties as a healthcare provider.
