Experience

I was employed by Luthuli Museum as an Executive Administrative Assistant from November 2013 to date. My duties in the main included internal workflow management and follow up, project work management, Governance and Administration. This included preparations for Council and Committees meetings, compilation of Council and Committees meeting packs, distribution of Council and Committees meeting packs, compiling resolution lists for the Director, follow up on implementation of resolutions taken at meetings, ensuring of Council and Committees agendas and minutes are filed accordingly, coordination of traveling and accommodation arrangements for Council and Committees members, facilitate payment of Council members’ honoraria, logistical arrangements for meetings (booking of venue, notices for meetings, catering and equipment), as well as assisting in preparation for Shareholders Compact signing and induction of new Council.

I have worked for Zululand District Municipality as a Senior Administration Officer from December 2006 to October 2013. My duties included preparing agendas for meetings, distributing agendas to Committee members in line with the Council Standing Rules of Order, taking minutes in the meetings, distributing resolutions to relevant departments for implementation, editing and proof-reading minutes compiled by Administrative Officers under my supervision, compiling and submitting compliance reports to Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs.

I have worked for Umzinyathi District Municipality as an Administrative Officer in the Municipal Manager’s Office from November 2005 to November 2006. My duties included liaising with the Office the Mayor and Speaker in coordinating events and reports, interacting with Departmental Heads and following up on compliance reports submission, monitoring Municipal Manager’s Office budget. 

I have also worked for Abaqulusi Municipality as Committee Officer from July 2002 to October 2005. During this period, I was involved in public participation programmes together with the Community Liaison Officer, in coordinating, facilitating, and arranging community involvement in the Budget and IDP processes. This included facilitating the roadshows working with the Office of the Mayor.

I am confident that I can professionally fulfill the position as required by the company. I am eager to enhance and refine my personal development within the company and take on the challenges that lie ahead. I will endeavor to effectively perform all my tasks as required and maintain the standards as defined by the company.

Education

I am currently enrolled for the Bachelor of Public Administration from MANCOSA. I have attended a number of training courses including Committee and Meetings Management, Supervisory Development Programme, Records Management, Registry Management, and Excel Foundation. I am dedicated and committed in achieving great result. I have excellent communication skills, coordination skills, networking skills and I am computer literate.
