• Plan and scope the audit assignment effectively
• Defining deadlines and ensuring appropriate project management is implemented and monitored 
• Facilitating engagement meetings  
• Coaching the team and ensuring that the audit is executed within the required quality standards 
• Managing the implementation and maintenance of accurate financial reporting 
• Ensuring proper document control and administration 
• Performing administrative duties such as time sheets and overtime 
• Reviewing the procurement plan and confirming that it enables strategic purchasing 
• Examine compliance with applicable laws and regulations 
• Conducting budget forecasting and monitoring the audit budget  
• Performing payroll reconciliations   
• Reviewing SARS submissions and recalculating PAYE 
• Monitoring the performance of trainee accountants 
• Reviewing the work of trainee accountants
