I have a BSc (Majors: Genetics & Microbiology) and BSc Honours (Microbiology) degree and over 15 years of work experience in the scientific field. I have worked as a Senior Administration Officer, Specialized Trainer and Forensic Analyst whilst working for the South African Police Service, Forensic Services, Biology Section. Recently I have worked as a Genetic Technologist at the University of Oxford Genetics Laboratory for over 11 months. I believe that the skills and experience I have gained at various sections of these companies, over the past 16 years, make me a strong candidate for positions involving training, administrative tasks and laboratory duties. I have a high level of work ethic, strong attention to detail and always willing to go the extra mile. My laboratory experience has given me excellent trouble-shooting skills, analytical skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment. My 9 and half years of training experience has given me excellent communication skills, ability to explain difficult concepts so it is easy to understand and excellent planning and organizational skills.

Experienced Senior Administration Officer, Specialized trainer and Laboratory analyst in molecular biology. Obtained a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree majoring in Microbiology and Genetics. Work experience includes theoretical and practical aspects in the Biology field. Key strengths include: Laboratory experience in DNA Molecular techniques due to performing duties at Quantitative PCR, PCR, Capillary Electrophoresis, DNA Profile Analysis sections. Presentation skills due to facilitating various in-house courses to graduates and fellow colleagues within the Forensic Science Laboratory. I Have a Science degree (BSc and BSc Honours) and completed my PGCE (Highest Distinction) in Senior and FEt phase for Natural Science and Life Science in 2021.
