I have a lot to offer as a Senior Buyer & Procurement Officer. I bring many years of buying & procurement skills to the work place and have extensive experience and ability as Buyer & Procurement Officer and also the ability to work independently, honestly and completely trust worthily and have good problem solving, decision making and disciplinary and counselling skills and the ability to work and liaise with individuals of various backgrounds and occupational levels and adaptable with the ability to work in a pressurized environment. I am 24 hours a day available is eager to attend to emergencies myself. I have my own reliable transport if need be. I lost my arm in a motor car accident in 23rd February 2009 but has managed to stay employed effortlessly since then.

Senior Buyer & Procurement 

Primary Tasks:

• Source, liaise and negotiate with suppliers
• Ensure that supplier service levels and quality of the product are as required
• Negotiates price and quality requirements with suppliers
• Source and procures goods and services in SA and globally
• Ensure and following the correct import procedures, import codes, import tax laws, etc.
• Visits suppliers premises and verifies safety and security requirements
• Negotiate trade and settlement discounts
• Verifies suppliers references and provides supplier recommendations
• Ensure compliance with forwarding agent procedures and requirements
• Ensure on-time delivery
• Product forecasting/budgeting
• Stock control requirements
• Over seeing stores personnel, receiving, issuing and dispatching of goods
