I was keenly interested in the vacancy as it will help me gain further practical experience, by using my knowledge and various skills to achieve the company’s objectives. I am currently a Wealth intern at BDO South Africa (Pty) where I assist with the following:

• Offering support to various internal departments including Trusts, Deceased estates, and Cash management. 
• Assisting with client take on process for the trust department, including due diligence, internal risk and conflict of interest checks and preparing engagement letters.
• Preparing trustee amendment applications from the Master of the High Court. 
• Reviewing trust deeds to identify beneficial owners as well as the preparation of the beneficial ownership report.
