I have 4 years working experience in Internal Audit for one of the big four audit firms in South Africa. During this time, I have gained experience as an events coordinator and project manager over numerous projects that have been rolled out over my tenure at the firm. My current expertise lie in the audit space, as I have years of experience planning, leading and managing audits, which has also taught me how to coordinate audits to ensure those are completed timeously and effectively. 

While working as a Lead on the company-wide organisation known as the NextGen Council, and as a Lead in my department (Governance, Risk and Internal Audit department), I got to learn project management skills that are needed to brainstorm, plan, organise and execute successful projects. These skills have led to me overseeing my teams as we launched two successful long term projects, and eight successful events over my time in that role. I got exposed to budgeting analyses, financial reporting, building business cases and creating and hosting presentations to justify the importance of these projects and garner financial support marketing support and stakeholder backing. 

Most importantly, I have the ability to bring out the best in my teams and what they are capable of executing. I promote a environment of safety where those around me feel empowered to want to contribute and give their best efforts to a project, all of which has led to the success of every initiative I have rolled out to date. 

I believe the above makes me a suitable candidate for this position as I believe I will greatly contribute to delivering top-class services to the company at large.

I have years of experience planning, leading and managing audits, as well as acting as project manager over numerous audit and non audit related projects that have been rolled out over the last 3 years. While majority of my experience is in the internal audit space, I have been exposed to numerous systems and tools of the clients I performed audits on. This includes accounting systems such as SAP and Sage which I can work on at an intermediate level, and Microsoft office tools which includes MS office, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Visios which I can work on at an advanced level.
