I recently worked at the NICD, as a Research Officer for 1 year, under the TB unit. My main duties involved:
• Dedicated to continuous improvement of the current laboratory processes.
• Supported in daily routine diagnostics of the lab.
• Assisted with drug susceptibility testing, line probe analysis and research orientated tasks.
• Data gathering and synthesis. • Process analysis.
Education
I am a recent PhD graduate in Medical Microbiology at the University of Pretoria. This academic milestone has been a journey, one I am looking forward to continue as I seek opportunities in both the medical and scientific world.
