Pieter De Meyer

I am currently working as a Forensic Psychophysiologist and managing my own Polygraph and Investigations company. I have been in the South African Police Services from 1993 to 2013 (Worked at Crime Intelligence)  and voluntary resigned to pursue a career as a Polygraph Examiner. I qualified under the directorship of Mr Nathan Gordon, the director of the Academy of Scientific Investigative Training based in US during 2013. Since qualified I have conducted more than 15 000 polygraph tests which included specific crime related incidents and Investigation, fraud, and other serious crimes. I have am an experienced investigator and will be able to use my experience and training in any crime  and fraud related investigation. I am independent and have a good knowledge of the Northern KZN area as I am based in Newcastle. I am married and have two sons. My wife is a teacher and support me in everything that I do. I will be an asset to any company and is not afraid to learn. With my knowledge I can also empower others in the field of interrogation and interviewing. 

In 1993 I join the SAPS and worked in the Internal stability Division until 1997. I was promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer and transferred to Crime Intelligence. I resigned in 2013 to pursue a career as a Polygraph Examiner.

I successfully completed my basic Polygraph training at the Academy for Scientific Investigative Training based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US and qualified as a Forensic Psychophysiologist during November 2013. The academy is an accredited training school accredited by the American Polygraph Association (APA). My training included the Forensic Assessment Interview Technique (FAINT), Scientific Content Analysis (SCAN) as well as the Morgan Interview Theme Technique (MITT). As a practicing field polygraph examiner, I have conducted approximately 15 000 polygraph examinations since he qualified in 2013. I have attended yearly advanced trainings approved by the American Polygraph Association.

I am currently working very long hours as I do travel out of the province as many of my clients are in Mpumalanga, Free State as well as Gauteng. I have conduct many high profile investigations and have assisted my insurance companies in the recovery of stolen property etc. I am a qualified Investigator (SAPS) and have knowledge of the criminal procedure act. I am a dedicated person who wants to make a success of anything I do.

As I was a member of the SAPS I have completed my Detective course as well as Intelligence related training courses. During my Polygraph course I also successfully completed my FAINT (Forensic Assessment Interview course) , SCAN - Scientific Content Analysis course as well as the Morgan Interview Theme Technique - During my daily  interviews and Interrogations I mainly make use of the knowledge i have received during my training.
