 ISD Officer Duties

- Inform and educate the community about project appointments and schedules

- Address community and labor complaints related to project appointments 

- Conduct community meetings, including Project Steering Committee (PSC) meetings, and attend technical site meetings 

- Write monthly progress reports on community and labor activities 

- Assist in the recruitment of local labor 

- Facilitate effective communication between contractors, Ward Councillor, Ward Committee, local labor, and affected community 

- Identify potential project challenges and risks 

- Provide support and mentoring to the local Community Liaison Officer (CLO) 

- Consult and negotiate with stakeholders and local structures such as Councillors, Traditional leaders, and affected communities 

- Liaise with individual landowners impacted by the project 

- Maintain ongoing communication with relevant local and district structures for integrated development 

- Develop and implement training programs and workshops for community groups, local projects, and district projects 

- Establish and maintain relationships with family centres, community organisations, referral sources, and community leaders 

- Promote outreach programs and participate in community awareness and fundraising events 

- Support and mentor staff, volunteers, and community groups to help participants achieve meaningful outcomes 

- Recruit students from FET colleges to transfer skills to community members
