Experience

I have 2 years experience as a Assistant Lecturer/ Tutor  at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, tutoring Psychology. I have experience in implementing curriculum as an Academic Assistant. The curriculum was semi-fixed, the content was given, however, it was flexible as I was able to add some segments in the content. I have experience in assisting students from diverse ethnic, geographical, and educational backgrounds (including disadvantaged educational backgrounds). Most students were from quantile 1 and 2.  I ensured that they were given the necessary attention, went an extra mile in assisting them with their learning development, organized meetings outside the lecture room, where they felt more confident to express their views, ideas and shared understanding. Created a WhatsApp group for my students to engage and communicate easily.
