About Nontobeko Edith VAPHI:

My name is Nontobeko I have gained an experience trough my degrees of studies and with my experience most of the time was dealing with the Public  ,at work tools that we  use computer skills, communication skills working as a team . Leading the Project with in the office as a project coordinator .Most of the skills that i get when i was an Human resource clerk dealing with capturing responsible for the statistic with in the office decision making skills. As an immigration Officer i have gain an experience of how to dealt with difference cultures ,negotiation skills ,build up communication skills, team management skill. learn on how to apply batho pele principles on our clients by bringing our service closer to them and by giving them the access to our services and to take care of everything about our clients.  

 

 

   

Experience

I was working for South African Police Service working as Human resource clerk Finance clerk at HR dealing with all the leaves at the station assisting them to fill up the leave form capturing and approving on the system on Persal. Dealing with al the cash we receive at the station capturing on Polfin responsible for banking the money, Skills audit assisting also in Perfomance Management system (PMDS).Assist also on selection process for recruitment with in the Station .Responsible for telephone system for all the members at the station for their private use.

As an Immigration officer has thought me how to dealt with the public and to learn different cultures beause we were dealing with all the peolpe from different coutries .   Executing the Immigration act No13 of 2002 and Immigration Regulations with specific reference to Temporary residence and permanent resident permit.  Assisting in the implementation of departmental policies and legislation on immigration matter; dealing with public immigration practitioner and lawyers in respect of applications for temporary and permanent residence permit as well as administrative duties.  Obtain and execute entry and search warrants. Dealing with weekly and monthly statistics. Issue order to illegal foreigner to depart from the Republic and issue authorization for illegal to remain in the Republic.  Appear in the Magistrate court to give evidence for the state. Bail applications and criminal trials, facilitating of the prosecution of transgressors.  Detention of illegal foreigners and extension of detention if necessary. Prosecution of conveyances who fail to pay administration fines.  Dealing with stowaways, castaways accounts. Access to movement control system and other mainframe system to verify the authenticity of documents and movements. Cementing excellent relationship with internal and external stakeholders
