Nicole Volschenk

My name is Nicole and I am a fully qualified, SACE registered teacher. 

While completing my degree I worked and taught children as much as was possible. Through tutoring, au pairing and over the course of my degree I gained experience working with many different curriculums from CAPS, IEB to the International Baccalaureate curriculum. I believe strongly in a progressive approach to education, where learners are provided with opportunities to gain real world skills. I see great value in incorporating inquiry based learning opportunities in teaching.
I am a very driven and enthusiastic team player, I feel that good communication and cooperation are key to working successfully in a team. I am fully computer literate and more than capable of handling the administrative tasks linked to day-to-day teaching administration. I am able to adapt with the evolving digital world and aim to instil 21st century skills in the children of today.

I completed my Bachelor of Education degree in 2020 at IIE Varsity College Cape Town and graduated with distinction. Along with my degree I have completed numerous computer courses, a hockey coaching course and a child and infant CPR training course.
