  1. Warehouse Manager  : June 2021 – Current : Equator Accessories ( The Belt Factory)

              Equator is a belt manufacturer for the fashion, retail & wholesale trade globally. 

  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

2. Logistics Supervisor  : December 2017 – June 2021   Yangtze Optics Africa (Consisting of Yangtze Optics Africa Cable and Yangtze Optics Africa Holdings) 

Yangtze Optics Africa is a subsidiary of Chinese Fibre Optic giant YOFC.YOFC is the world's largest producer of raw materials for manufacturing optic fibres. 

  • Business partnering with sales, finance, planning, production departments ie (Sales reports, Stock reports , Highlighting of aging stock , year end stock counts.)
  • Setting up of the warehouse module for pastel evolution, which included the setting up of inventory codes, setting up import templates for upload of existing inventory.
  • Co-ordinating the usage of computerized warehouse systems within the stores
  • (Cable Information system).
  • Raising of sales invoices , co-ordination of three way matching (PO,sales invoice , delivery notes.)
  • Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of finished goods.
  • Negotiating competitive rates for transportation of inventory.
  • Ensuring maximisation of load efficiency.
  • Maintaining scheduled stock count and updating of stock levels.
  • Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity.
  • Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.

3. Warehouse Storeman  : November 2016 – November 2017   Yangtze Optics Africa (Consisting of Yangtze Optics Africa Cable and Yangtze Optics Africa Holdings)

  • Initial warehouse set up for the business.
  • Maintaining stock control systems thus ensuring accuracy and completeness inventories.
  • Reconciliation of stock, investigation and administering of stock adjustment as required provided these are in line with policy and have been signed off and approved by finance manager.
  • Managing and controlling all aspects of month end procedures, as required by finance manager

Administering, planning and preparation of monthly stock counts.

  • Assisting finance with three ways matching for audits.
  • Verification of imported and local inventory before offloading containers and vehicles.
  • Relocation and re-stacking goods to make space for a new delivery.
  • Arranges carriage or actually delivering goods to the customer or outlet.
  • Control of stock for two companies within the organization. 
  • Assist Production and Planning Supervisor in releasing of production orders and tying up of documentation for orders released on an ad hoc basis.
  • Coordination and control of all documentation between production and logistics
  • Monitors and maintains current inventory levels, investigates problems and report on slow moving/obsolete stock.
  • Control of and upkeep of raw material within 3 warehouses in the organization.
  • Assisting the IT department with setting up of computers and systems
  • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage and timely delivery of goods and material within the production process.
  • Performing daily inspection of the warehouses and the warehouse grounds.
  • Coordination and control of all documentation between production and logistics

4. Senior Warehouse Supervisor: July 2009 - October 2016. Colindale Trading                   

Colindale is a Durban based furniture supplier stocking affordable office chairs, bar stools, home furniture and more. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee receiving , warehouse in compliance with company policies.
  • Liaise with customers ,suppliers and transport companies.
  • Supervise loading and unloading operations.
  • Maintainer of stock schedule on excel. 
  • Supervising of forklift and pallet jack operations.
  • Safeguarding of inventory at the end of each working day.
  • Assisting with quality assurance for distribution centers.
  • Planning of staff daily work and monitoring of the work in progress.

5. Warehouse Supervisor: November 2001 - June 2009 Beier Footware (formerly Era Beier)                                                                                                                

Beier Group is a South African manufacturer in the technical textiles and personal protective equipment industries, based in Durban, PE and Johannesburg.      .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory management and general housekeeping.
  • Control of Fork Lift Truck management to ensure full operational capacity and achieve daily targets.
