About Natacha Gaud:

As a Master's student in Industrial Psychology at the University of Johannesburg, I am actively engaged in applying psychological principles to optimise organisational effectiveness and employee well-being. My academic experience includes advanced coursework and practical applications in areas such as organisational design, HR staffing, performance management, and employee health and well-being.

In my studies, I have developed strong skills in psychometrics, including administering and interpreting assessments, and I have gained experience in organisational change and development, which allows me to contribute effectively to creating positive work environments. My research projects have further honed my ability to conduct diagnostic and intervention-based research, focusing on real-world challenges within organisations.

Ethical practice is at the core of my approach, supported by in-depth knowledge gained from ethics workshops and supervisory meetings. I am also skilled in building rapport and effective communication, which are essential in fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement within diverse teams.

Overall, my education has equipped me with a well-rounded skill set that includes advanced project management, a strong understanding of organisational culture, and the ability to innovate and find better ways to achieve organisational goals. I am eager to apply these skills in a professional setting through an internship that allows me to gain the experience required for registration as an Industrial Psychologist.

Experience

My professional experience spans a diverse range of roles focused on early intervention therapy, teaching, and counselling, with a strong emphasis on psychological principles, behavioural management, and holistic development.

Education

I hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Johannesburg, where I gained extensive expertise in understanding, predicting, and influencing human behaviour within workplace environments. My studies focused on advanced theories and practical applications in areas such as organisational development, psychological assessment, employee well-being, and career psychology.

This program integrated rigorous academic research with hands-on experience, equipping me with the ability to apply evidence-based psychological principles to improve organisational effectiveness, foster positive workplace cultures, and support employee development. I am also well-versed in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, allowing me to conduct and analyse research that informs strategic decision-making.

As a graduate of this program, I am eligible for registration with the South African Board of People Practices (SABPP) as a Personnel Practitioner and, after completing an approved internship, as an Industrial Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). This qualification positions me to contribute meaningfully to organisational success by leveraging my deep understanding of psychological principles in the workplace.
