About Miles Lovell:
I am a South African Humanitarian Lawyer. I received my LLM (Cum Laude) from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, and my LLB and BA Law degrees from the University of Pretoria. I have worked for over 2 years in the disarmament and firearms control sectors and would like to diversify my credentials with some academic teaching experience!
Experience
I have worked in the disarmament and firearms control sector for over two years as a legal analyst and researcher for the Center for Armed Violence Reduction (CAVR). I was responsible for maintaining and updating the legislative profiles of over 150 countries' firearms law on the largest publicly available firearms-related database in the world, GunPolicy.org.
Prior to this I worked as an ESL teacher in South Korea for a further two years.

I received my Masters in Law (Cum Laude) from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights in Switzerland and both my LLB and BA Law degree from the University of Pretoria (with distinction). I specialized in the field of international humanitarian law
