Melissa Du Pont

I have eleven years practical work experience; all of which have been in administration and human resources within the NPO sector. I have been privileged to work with an international civil society organization as well as in the education sphere of the Seventh Day Adventist Church for the past seven years. I am an ambitious, purpose-driven individual with valuable administrative, organisational and time management skills. I am goal orientated and pride myself on my professionalism and integrity. I am fully conversant in English and Afrikaans and have advanced Microsoft Office expertise. I do believe that I would make a meaningful contribution to any team.

Being analytical minded, I give keen attention to detail, whilst at the same time envisioning the bigger picture. I thoroughly enjoy working in a team and learning from the experiences and expertise of others as well as trying out new tools and technology. I believe that adaptability and flexibility are key to being purposeful and successful in life. 
 

I started as a Office Administrator and then HR Officer in 2012 to 2015. I worked for a International Civil Society Organization with offices in Geneva, US, UK and South Africa.

In January of 2016 to date, I was appointed by the Northern Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church as the HR for Schools. Currently I do the HR for five Schools across Gauteng with experience in the following areas:

• Training and development 
• Grievances and disciplinary issues 
• Contracts and Policy updates 
• Inductions and exits 
• Service Record and Salary Audits 
• Benefits administration 

I obtained a BA Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Johannesburg in South Africa in December 2011.
