Megan Naude

My name is Megan Naude, I have finished my honours in chemistry at the University of Pretoria. I am currently residing in Pretoria Gauteng.
I am currently looking for a laboratory job or internship to start off my career in the food or cosmetic industry. At the moment I am searching for laboratories based in Gauteng. However I am open to relocate to a different country if it is possible.
Throughout my studies I have absolutely enjoyed food, organic and analytical chemistry. I have worked at Waterlab as a lab assistant for 6 months before I decided to complete my honours. During my honours year I had exposure to UPLC-QTOF-MS, HPLC-QDa, NMR and other analytical instrument. My project was based on honeybush plant extraction and I also had the opportunity to assist in nanoparticle research.
In the laboratory I prefer to work independently as well as working with a team. I am very curious and excited to learn new methods and techniques in the laboratory.  My goal is to explore the flavour and fragrance industry and to gain as much training and experience in this field to grow as a scientist. After I have found my path in my career I want to complete my Masters degree in the future and I would love to guide and help other new scientists with their career. 
 

I have previously worked at Waterlab as a laboratory assistant. I filtered samples and prepared humidity cell samples as well as doing housekeeping in the lab.

I have completed my honours in chemistry during 2020-2021
