COVER LETTER – RANYA VAN DER WALT

I have been an employee of large organizations, and built-up extensive experience in the operational, credit, strategic, banking, and administrative environments, in various departments, projects and business functions. I enjoy working with people, and have a balanced management profile of being innovative, understanding the numbers, acting according to processes, and coordinating resources effectively. My skills to deal with all these aspects of business in general, enabled my ability to successfully graduate my MBA at such a young age, and yet limited experience at that time.

I like realistic challenges, and require ground rules to apply new methodologies. I'm a loyal and hardworking employee, a quick learner and dynamic - hence my balanced life philosophy and ability to understand people well! I'm intrigued by how management mobilizes leadership in their people to enhance them (and thus the business indirectly) and enjoy companies that treat their employees like the valuable assets they are, constantly empower, measure and direct them.

In a dynamic, fast-moving economy, all industries face different challenges, and one has to maintain a flexible, though focused approach daily. My main aim is to add value to society and the company I represent, by acting according to company values to a generation where these are mere theory. I provide a fresh perspective of mundane reports and results, with the aim of finding innovative solutions that is sustainable in the long run and relates to the organization’s vision.

I believe I have a lot to offer as part of any management team and hope to attain success in the next couple of years, being a life-long learner, and expanding my experience to, in return, help other achieve the same success I've been blessed with.

Motivation for this application

Although consulting has a single focus, I require the satisfaction of being part of a bigger team, within a big organization. I believe my skills are adequate, and since I’m a keen learner, I will be able to add value to a company where I become involved in.
