About Mave Zungu:
My name is Zanethemba ‘Mave’ Zungu. I am a highly motivated chef from Johannesburg South Africa, who has an immense passion for the culinary industry. I am trained on different cuisines, most notably French cuisine, Asian and our own variety of African cuisine. I've previously worked in different restaurants and lodges including being a personal chef for a private family. My previous experience has equipped me with vast amount knowledge and array skill set. I am a very quick learner, I am persistent when it comes to my craft, I am a very open minded person who is always willing to immerse myself with different cultures and creeds.

Duties included but were not limited to a rotation of service which was between, Hot kitchen; Cold kitchen; Bakery, Bar & front of house. With weekly School assessments theoretically and practically.
Preparing and serving of all foods on the menu during Hot kitchen rotation, as well as undergoing full culinary training.
Preparing staff & student lunch for a week during cold kitchen rotation, as well as undergoing desert and food training
Serving of all drinks at the bar during rotation as well as undergoing cold and hot beverage training, which also included short courses for Wine and coffee as well as a masterclass for brewing of beer.
Greeting and seating customers, and suggesting meals and daily specials or attending to customers requests during front of house rotation. as well as undergoing practical & theoretical training of table set up and table etiquette.
