About Mary Olabanji:

A Meticulous and Analytical Research and Development Scientist with 10+ years’ experience in environmental management, strong hands-on experience in environmental project monitoring, adaptive team player with in-depth knowledge of data collection, analysis and development of detailed scientific reports as well as providing solution to environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, water, energy and food insecurity. 

Experience

Towards the completion of my undergraduate I had my Industrial training programme as a Laboratory Scientist at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital this was the beginning of my professional experience.

After completing my BSc degree I served as a Senior Scientific Officer at the Department of Environment and Bio-technology, National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) where I spent 7 years from June 2011 to December 2018 during which I completed my Masters degree and the went further to pursue my Doctoral Degree. 

I worked briefly as an Assistant Lecturer (Contract) towards and after the completion of my PhD degree at the Department of plant and soil science, University of Pretoria, Hatfield campus (South Africa) between the period of July to December 2021.
