Marilize Van der Wath

I come with exceptional experience in the corporate environment.I completed my Masters degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology. I have a passion for performance management and also believe every organisation must empower their employees to set them up for success, not failure. I have been in the fortunate position at my current organisation to have been the author of all human resources policies and procedures as well as all formal documentation to be used for HR related matters, for example warnings forms. I also managed all training and development as well as succession and recruitment planning. Apart from that I oversee the employee wellness programme and community involvement with regards to psychological and emotional well-being in the workplace. 

I have work experience of 23 years, of which more than ten years are in management. I worked in various industries, and have proven my ability to motivate subordinates to exceptional performance. At my current employment, I am head of strategic HR, which encompasses all HR-related policies, procedures and process-mapping. I implemented the performance management system at this company and report to the Managing Director. I have also designed and implemented the employee wellness programme. Apart from that I am responsible for all training in the organisation and management of training programmes implemented and according to approved budgets per department. I oversee organisational interventions of team performance as well as individual performance. I advise line managers on poor performance counselling and incapacity management of all employees.   

I completed my Master of Commerce in Industrial and Organisational Psychology at Unisa in April 2023.
