Marianne Gush

I currently lecture online and run a private practice in South Africa. Our family wishes to relocate to Canada as soon as possible and, as such, I am seeking a job opportunity to help us make this dream a reality.

I have worked as a counsellor in 3 different secondary schools (ages 12 to 18, as well as staff development). When my career took an unplanned turn in language education, I was inspired to undertake my master's degree in order to merge that which I was doing in my career, with my love for psychology. 

As of October 2021, I have been working as a counsellor in private practice, working with couples, families, adolescents and also groups. During this time, I have also become involved with various Employee Assistance Programmes – seeing related clients in my practice, but also assisting with workshop development and facilitation. I have also been invited to speak at various conferences and webinars on topics such as Character in the Classroom, From Surviving to Thriving, The Science of Well-Being, and, Managing Anxiety and Sparking Resilience. 

Since May 2022, I have also been lecturing online for UTEL University in psychology, coaching and education (post-graduate students).
