I have over 5 years of experience working at a small family owned business and started my career in Occupational health and safety in 2021, 2years after I had completed my SAMTRAC. I have worked contractual jobs in the past years but thought that the only way I could get permanent jobs is if I furthered my studies. I enrolled through the University of South Africa year in 2022 to complete a Diploma in Safety Management, currently doing my 3rd year. My goal is to become the Chief Safety Officer in a growing and evolutional company. 

Work experience: 

1. Sales Assistant and Tailor     (March 2015 to date part-time)

 • Greet customers upon entering the store. 

• Ensure that sales goals are reached. 

• Conducted product inventory.

 • Assist customers with alterations.

 • Train new sales assistants and cashier. Skills acquired: time efficiency; client liaison; effective interpersonal and communication skills; team player; multi-tasking.  

2. Sales Casual       (December 2014- January 2015) 

 CUM Books (Menlyn Mall)

 • Greet customers upon entering the store.

 • Ensure that sales goals are reached.

• Conducted product inventory. 

• Assist customers with finding books. 

• Clean the store.  

3. Education Assistant     (December 2020 – March 2021)

 • Attend morning briefings every first day of the week for evaluation.

• Assist educators with invigilating during tests and exams. • Support learners with extra curriculum activities.

 • Assist the Principal and educators with administration.
