Experience

I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Social work and I am currently pursuing a postgraduate diploma in management (Monitoring and Evaluation) at Wits. The studies will not interfere with my work because it’s part time and it’s done after work hours. Throughout my academic journey, I have gained a solid theoretical foundation in counseling techniques and strategies specifically tailored to children. During my studies, I completed internships at different organisations and also at a primary school, where I had the opportunity to work closely with children between the ages of 6 and 13. This experience allowed me to develop strong communication and rapport-building skills, as well as the ability to create a safe and supportive environment for children to express their concerns and emotions. I also facilitated various group counseling sessions, focusing on topics such as self-esteem, friendship, Social skills for the marginalised children and conflict resolution.

As a passionate advocate for the emotional well-being and growth of children, I am confident possess a strong ability to connect with children on a personal level, and I am dedicated to promoting their mental health, resilience, and overall success. I have also worked with families and refugee.
