I Have been in farming since straight out of high school. I have experience in chickens, vineyards and lucerne but my specialty is olives.

Farm manager : 2018 - Current
• Managing a 300 Ha olive farm and pertaining to the following duties:
• Ensuring the success of 40 000 trees in the nursery and responsible for the irrigation.
• Managing a team of 25 during non-peak times and a team of 40 during harvest time.
• Ensuring irrigation runs smoothly on the entire farm by making use of Irrinet control
centre (ICC Motech water management) software.
• Growth and expansion: I am currently busy expanding the farm by 22Ha to
accommodate the 40 000 new trees.
• Compiling budgets and sticking to them.
• Managing the health of the trees and the olive fruit throughout the year.
• Identifying diseases and rotting early to action the correct treatment in time.
• Ensure the trees receive the correct treatments and the correct ratios when diseases
or rotting occurs due to bad weather.
• Follow a strict chemical and fertilization schedule.
• Creating spraying schedules.
• Assisting in managing the oil processing plant.

Willow Creek/Nuy Olive farm: Farm manager: 2016-2018
• Managing a 193 Ha olive farm and pertaining to the following duties:
• Managing a team of 18 during non-peak times and 4 teams of 50 people during
harvest time.
• Ensuring the success of new trees in the nursery and to ensure the survival of the
trees during the move from nursery to soil. Having well run irrigation in the nursery
was an important part of this success.
• Managing the health of the trees and the olive fruit throughout the year to ensure a
good harvest.
• Ensure the irrigation runs smoothly on the farm by using the Irrinet control centre
(ICC Motech water management)
• Identifying diseases and rotting early to action the correct treatment in time.
• Ensure the trees receive the correct treatments and the correct ratios when diseases
or rotting occurs due to bad weather.

Willow Creek chicken farm / Elgin Group: Free range chicken farm manager: Feb 2016 – April 2016
• Managing 6 free range chicken houses and pertaining to the following duties:
• Managing a team of 8 staff members.
• Time and attendance of all staff.
• Intense time management due to a strict cycle of 6 weeks from the chick enters the
“house’’ and until they leave.
• Responsible for allocating the correct feed in the correct time of the cycle.
• Managing the weight and health of the chickens.
• Always Maintaining the correct temperature in the chicken houses.

All 4 Grapes: Consultant: Dec 2014 – Jan 2016

• Attend to different farms to pertain to the following duties:
• Time and attendance of all staff.
• Designing plans for new developments to plant export grapes.
• Executing development plans, with an experienced team.
• Planting and leading of grapevines.
• Packing grapes at export level.
• Quality control.
• Packhouse manager.
When I moved on from All 4 Grapes, I have developed about 500 Ha of vineyard.

I Have completed my National senior certificate and have further learned everything through experience.
