About Me

I am a dedicated and motivated individual who discovered a passion for accounting later in life, leading me to change my career path in my 30s. After spending several years teaching and traveling abroad, I gained valuable life experience that strengthened my adaptability, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Currently, I am completing my Higher Certificate in Applied Accounting through SACOB, where I serve as the Student Council Representative Chairperson and am recognized as one of the top scorers in my course. I take great pride in my work and strive for excellence in everything I do.

My journey has taught me the value of continuous learning and hard work. I am now fully committed to building a strong career in accounting and finance, where I can apply my skills, dedication, and passion for making a meaningful contribution.

Experience

Since 2022, I have been working at a non-profit organisation as a Marketing, Fundraising, and Finance Assistant, where I assist the finance officer with financial tasks, support fundraising initiatives, and contribute to marketing efforts. I was officially employed in May 2025 after volunteering and gaining valuable experience within the organisation.

Alongside my current role, I teach English online to Vietnamese students, helping them build confidence and improve their communication skills. Before this, I spent four years in China teaching English, travelling, and immersing myself in a new culture—an experience that strengthened my adaptability, communication, and interpersonal skills.

I am a motivated, detail-oriented professional who values continuous learning, meaningful work, and contributing to both financial and educational development.

Education

I hold a BA Degree in Interior Design from the Design School of Southern Africa, obtained in 2014, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education through the Independent Institute of Education (IIE) received in 2018.

Currently, I am pursuing a Higher Certificate in Applied Accounting through SACOB, which I will complete at the end of 2025. Soon to start my AT(SA) FET Level 5: Accounting Technician course in 2026.
