Experience
Analyse the skills requirements within the organization and coordinate the execution of the personal development plans of employees. Develop and implement a SHE Strategy for the Company. Liaising with the authorities (government officials and locals) on SHE issues.
Promote and enforce a culture of statutory compliance i.e., SLP, BBBEE, EE and WSP Represent Management on SHE issues and Development of all the COP`s and SOP`s (Assessments and Risk Assessments) of the mine. Maintain and manage MQA accreditation by ensuring that all HRD Processes and training material are aligned to national standards. Monitoring and measuring of the SHE Management system, recommending best practices and trends applicable to the Mine. Advise and consult with line management on Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures, objectives, and targets.
Oversee and facilitate the IDP and skills questionnaires for all employees in line with HRD budget and business planning. - Monitor and implement the workplace skills plan, report accordingly and serve as an SDF for the mine. - Ensure proper consultation of all relevant stakeholders on training plan and reporting, i.e. Responsible for WSP, ATR, HRD SLP and training commitments. - Submit grant applications to the MQA and report monthly/quarterly on SDF issues to management in line with HRD Budget and requirements. - Capture and analyse training progress data, monitor, and review training of learners. -Managing departments budget. Encourage growth between SMME and organization to ensure a good relationship. Provide SMMEs with development and training. Monthly consultation and engagement with the students and ensure records are up to date with regards to results - Coordination and recruitment of Learner ships, Bursaries, Interns and Graduates as per the plan. - Training needs analysis and develop site specific training material. - Assess, moderate validity of training material and execute training interventions - LMS. - Oversee scheduling, administration and data capturing of training interventions. - Evaluation, assessment of training competence and post intervention assessments of trainees to ensure development and SETA requirements. - Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, policies, and procedures. - Coordination of on mine trackless mobile machinery licenses and compliance. - Access and update MQA web site and record/ log individual employee competence including links to applicable assessors and moderations. - Facilitate DTI Skills Audit. Conduct in-depth learning and development needs analysis related to specific competencies needed within the business to achieve objectives. Coordinate the sourcing, design, development, implementation and maintenance of effective training programmes, aids and materials utilizing knowledge of methods in classroom training, e-learning, on the job training and self-study, aligned to business objectives. Completion of Individual’s performance against SOPs policies and prepare job descriptions and interview of new employees. Attending CCMA hearings and Chair disciplanaries. Union meetings and negotiations. Employees SAGE payroll and payroll queries.
