Louis Altus Davel

I am an accomplished Management Accountant with over 20 years’ experience managing and auditing finances, performance, regulatory and policy compliance for local, provincial and national government, district municipalities, and public entities.

Over the past 18 years, I have been with the Department of Economic Development and Tourism, here in Northern Cape, initially as Budget and Asset management Manager, and more recently as Senior Manager of Management Accounting. This follows on from an earlier 5 years at the Auditor General’s Office.  As a commercially astute and highly motivated management accountant repeatedly exceeded expectations throughout my career. I build strong teams and develop innovative strategies through detailed analysis to ensure compliance and minimise risk.
